GENE SIMMONS To Produce 'Taboo' Soundtrack?
November 15, 2003Newsday is reporting that KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons has approached Rosie O'Donnell about producing the soundtrack to her troubled $10 million musical, "Taboo", on the Sanctuary Group record label.
"The music stands on its own," Simmons said.
"This isn't a nostalgia show. It's got nothing to do with 'Karma Chameleon'," Simmons added, referring to the '80s hit from CULTURE CLUB, who were fronted by "Taboo" star Boy George. "There's some wonderful, brand-new music that should be heard."
As previously reported, Simmons attended Thursday night's (Nov. 13) invitation-only opening performance of "Taboo" at the Plymouth Theater in New York City.
